Sword Craftsmanship.

About This Category
Our Sword Craftsmanship collection features hand-forged Chinese swords created by master swordsmiths using traditional techniques that date back over 2,500 years. Each blade is individually forged through the process of folding and hammering multiple layers of steel, creating the distinctive grain patterns that make each sword unique. These are functional works of art — suitable for martial arts practice, collection, display, and ceremonial use.

Craftsmanship Process:

Each hand-forged sword undergoes more than 30 manual steps:
1. Material Selection: High carbon steel (1060, 1095, pattern welded steel) is carefully selected for each sword
2. Forging: The steel is heated and hammered into shape by hand, repeatedly folded to create layers and improve strength
3. Heat Treatment: The blade is differentially heat treated to create a hard edge and flexible spine
4. Polishing: The blade is hand-polished using progressively finer stones to reveal the hamon (temper line) and grain pattern
5. Fitting: Custom handle, guard, and pommel are fitted to the blade
6. Scabbard Making: Custom wood scabbard is crafted and fitted with metal fittings

The entire process takes 1-3 months to complete for a single sword, depending on complexity. All our swords are tested for sharpness, strength, and balance before leaving the workshop.
